The Village Hall was officially opened by the Earl of Londsdale on the 5th October 1933 and was used extensively in those days for dances, whist drives, children’s parties, concerts and many other activities.

In previous years the Village Hall has housed a Youth Club, Kick Boxing Clubs, a Badminton Team, Yoga and Parish Council Meetings. 
It is now home to the Eagle Bowmen, Scottish Dancing, Ryderfit, an annual Art Show and becomes a Polling Station when required..
